Meet the Instructors
Mr. John Hubbard- School Owner 7th degree black belt in Taekwondo Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu Philosophy: To always learn as much as possible about the martial arts. Continue researching and training with the greatest Martial Artists of our time. To always strive for “Constant and Never Ending Improvement”, while building life long relationships. Share my knowledge with my students in the hopes that they will become Black Belt Leaders. Leaders who demonstrate Confidence, Self Esteem, Courage, Discipline, Self Respect, Self Worth with a sense of peace with the knowledge that they can defend themselves or their family members if the need should ever arise. To help my students gain the knowledge and skills needed to become professional martial art instructors whom own and operate successful chains of martial arts studios. To help those who are less fortunate be able to have the opportunity to learn and enjoy the Martial Arts and to make our world a better place one Black Belt Leader at a time. JH
Mr. Ben Gray 5th Degree Black Belt Taekwondo Purple Belt in Jiu-Jitsu Ben Gray is a certified instructor in Taekwondo as a 4th Degree Black Belt with 25 years experience. He also is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He also has knowledge in many other arts as well. Mr. Gray is a homegrown student under Master Hubbard. Mr. Gray has had the privilege to train with some of the best in the world. He has trained with the likes of Royce and Renzo Gracie, Joe Lewis, Bill Wallace, Billy Blanks, Denilson Pimenta, Julio Cesar Pereira, and many others. Mr. Gray has been to seminars all over the country including Karate College in 2000 and 2003. Mr. Gray has fought in the ring and has competed in many tournaments and competitions and walked away with many trophies and medals. Mr. Gray is dedicated to perfection and the building up of others. Outside of Martial arts, Mr. Gray is married to Jeana Gray and has two beautiful daughters, Carlee (22), and Hailee (18). He works for the Russellville Public Works Department, and is the pulpit minister for Ola Church of Christ. When not doing his kicks or working, he takes care of his family and prepares for Sunday.
Carlos martinez--1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo 1st Degree Black Belt in USA Oyama Karate Assistant Instructor in Taekwondo and Fitness Kickboxing Carlos was born in Puerto Rico in 1966. He finished high school in 1985 and moved to Brooklyn, N.Y. In 1990, He got his first degree black belt in USA Oyama Karate under Senpai Alfred DiGrazia( now Shihan). While in this journey, he participated in semi-knockdown and knockdown tournaments. The same year he graduated from Boricua College with a Bachelor's Degree in science ( elementary education). While attending college, he worked in the Green point YMCA in gym and swim programs and pre-school. Carlos also got married that same year. From 1991-2002, Carlos worked for NYC Board of Education as an adaptive physical education and crisis teacher intervention in special education. Carlos earned 38 credits towards a Master's in learning disabilities. In 2002, Carlos moved to Russellville, Arkansas, where he met Mr. John Hubbard at Russellville Martial Arts America. Carlos then began training in Taekwondo and earned his 1st Degree Black Belt. He is currently working towards earning his 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo.
Coach Jeff Hardy Currently Conway High School Wrestling Coach, Martial Arts America Wrestling/MMA Coach. Coach Jeff has fought in the cage 6 times in his 50'3 with a record of 4-2 in the 155 weight class. Coach Jeff has extensive training in Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. College: Mid American Conference Champion 2nd, 4th. NCAA 5th Freshman All American, Ohio State Collegiate Champion Runner up, 3rd, Southern Open 3rd place, Sunshine State Champion High School: State Runner up, 3rd and 5th.
Marcus Everette--Brown Belt in Jiu-Jitsu Marcus is a Brown Belt in Jiu-Jitsu training here for several years under Mr. John Hubbard. He has experience as a MMA Fighter with a record of 4-2. Marcus has many years experience competing in Jiu-Jitsu tournaments, with a record of 71-28-1. Marcus also competed in the 2017 IBJJF Masters Worlds semifinals. -2 Silver medals at IBJJF in Dallas -1 Gold medal at IBJJF in Dallas - Grappling Games Pro Vet - Sub Hunter Pro Vet - NFC Pro Vet - AGF Nationals Gold medalist Champion - AGF Multiple X medalist - NAGA Multiple X medalist - Sub Only challenge Multiple X medalist 2018-2019 Regional manager at the Grappling Industries
